Don Lowrey was born March 31st, 1950, in Bakersfield, CA. February 12th, 1975, Don was carjacked in Oklahoma by three men attempting a bank robbery. Don was brutally beaten, then shot point blank in the head and left for dead. The men then proceeded to rob Nicoma Park State Bank. Don Lowrey was found, rushed to the hospital and survived the incident. Don authored the book "I Didn't Have a Prayer, But That's What Saved Me." Don recalls the incident and how God intervened and saved his life. Don is now a speaker for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and travels the country sharing his testimony.
